About
The Hive Altrincham is a "hidden gem" featuring a deli and café that serves speciality coffee, hot chocolate, and sweet treats by day, and transform into the go-to neighbourhood cocktail bar by night.
We designed the brand identity and graphics for the café and deli, set to open in 2024.
One highlight of our design is the geometrical pattern inspired by honeycomb and Art Deco motifs. These patterns have been further refined and broken down into smaller elements to create a more intriguing visual language for the brand.)
The Hidden Gateway -
the brand identity was inspired by Parisian coffee shops and Speakeasy bars.
Parisian coffee shops and Speakeasy bars inspire the visual identity for the café bar and deli. The concept of thinking of the space as a ‘Hive/Community Spot’ links in with the owners’ dedication to celebrating and serving the local community.
We are absolutely thrilled with the work provided by Alex and Darya at Dar Studio and would recommend them to anyone! We were opening a brand-new cafe bar in Altrincham and needed branding and a new website. This meant starting from scratch!
Darya and Alex visited the cafe bar during its renovation and discovered beautiful details dotted around for inspiration, such as vintage trays that we would use to serve drinks on. These details and colors helped them start creating our branding. The branding was beautiful, considered, and the level of detail was outstanding—far beyond anything we could have thought of ourselves.
